Anna Laverty has steadfastly established herself as one of Australia’s finest young producers.

While based in London in the 2000s Anna secured herself a highly coveted role at Miloco Studios. It was here that she was afforded the life changing opportunity to work as an engineer under the guidance and tutelage of multi-award winning producers Paul Epworth (Adele, Primal Scream, Foster The People) and Ben Hillier (Blur, Elbow, U2). During her time at Miloco Anna worked on albums for Florence and The Machine, Depeche Mode and Bloc Party amongst others.

Gleaning as much production and technical know-how as possible from the masterful Epworth, Hillier and others, Anna relocated to Australia determined to carve out her own niche as a producer.

Since her return Laverty has produced, engineered, mixed and/or helped create albums for several of Australia’s most celebrated bands and artists including Paul Dempsey, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, New Gods, Something for Kate, The Peep Tempel, Dallas Frasca, Meg Mac, Courtney Barnett, Cut Copy, Jae Laffer and many, many more (see previous work tab for more info).

Anna regularly returns to the UK to continue her working relationships fostered over many years with producers and artists both well known and underground.

Between 2014 and 2017 Anna has visited the Northern Territory multiple times to work with a hand picked selection of artists from remote communities. She was the producer/engineer/mixer of Desert Divas Volume 2, an album recorded at CAAMA Studio in Alice Springs. Bringing together strong women from all over central Australia the album showcases 8 unique stories.

Anna has recently spoken publicly at Guinness Amplify (Malaysia), Bigsound (QLD), Face the Music (VIC), AWME (VIC), WAM Conference (WA), Proof of Life Festival (SA), InTune (NT) and more about her passion for music and audio engineering. She has been invited to give guest lectures at Universities and Colleges around the country to inspire and inform audio students with her career path and studio insight.

The APRA/AMCOS Songmakers programme keeps Anna busy for part of the year as one of their mentors. Visiting High Schools all over the country to inform students of career paths as songwriters and producers.
